The Kilburn Epistles giveaway

Drawing on his experiences and characters he met as a serving metropolitan police officer, The Kilburn Epistles by local author James Paul Shaugnessy is his debut novel published in 2021.  Set in 2012, the year of the diamond jubilee and the death of Whitney Houston, the book relates hilarious encounters with fascinatingly diverse characters in London.  The book perhaps will appeal particularly to a male readership because it may chime well with their life and work experiences.

The author says this:
The Kilburn Epistles is based on truth, with a little poetic licence thrown in, and where possible I have attempted to keep it within the boundaries of propriety and good taste. It is clear however, that some expletives are far more appropriate and satisfying in describing the moment and feelings experienced, than trying to verbally respond nicely to those veritable pud-wappers responsible for rocking our formerly tranquil boats of happiness. However, in a world of cut and thrust selfishness and ignorant manners, my own view is...people need to know how we feel.

The author has kindly donated 5 signed copies of his novel to the Skyline Gold Book Club for us to give away to our listeners and contributors.  If you would like a free copy of The Kilburn Epistles please send your contact details to us, including your postal address.
